Shannon is a wealth of knowledge in all things related to the body. She is a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, a certified Ready State Mobility Coach, a certified running coach, a Primal Nutrition Coach, and a massage therapist too!

She is passionate about taking a holistic view of health and believes that we all have the ability and the right to optimize our health through exercise, food, and mindset. She leads our mobility workshops and clinics, Run Lab, Run Hills, and Run Camp programs, and has big plans for helping people towards health and longevity in the coming years. 

How I got here:
I came to Vashon Strong looking to become a stronger runner.  I admit I was intimidated at first. The Olympic lifts, the crashing plates, and the heavy metal music had me almost running for the door on my first day. But all the coaches were so welcoming and the membership was so supportive and friendly. I grew to love it, the big lifts and heavy metal music included!

Outside the gym I love to:
Run, hike, swim, read, cook, garden and knit.

Why We Swim by Bonnie Tsui, Naming Nature by Carol Kaesuk Yoon  and Rebuilding Milo by Dr. Aaron Horschig

Most memorable gym moment: 
My first rope climb!  I didn’t believe it would be possible and then,  suddenly, it was!
