This weekly session is all about developing the art of the snatch and clean & jerk. It is a technique-driven class designed to help you refine your form, build explosive power, and develop the precision these lifts demand. It is aimed at athletes who have a basic understanding of the lifts and is not a beginner's class.

Perfecting technique and building power in Olympic Weightlifting with Coach Lisa
Olympic weightlifting is a blend of strength, technique, and precision. Our program is built around the three essential pillars that will elevate your lifting, with a strong emphasis on perfecting your technique:
1. Explosive Power Development
Olympic weightlifting is all about moving heavy weights with speed and control and developing the explosive power needed for the snatch and clean & jerk. It’s not just about raw strength; it’s about speed, precision, and power in every movement. By honing your ability to generate force quickly, you’ll see a dramatic improvement in your ability to lift heavier loads while maintaining proper control.
2. Mastering Technique
Technique is the foundation of success in Olympic weightlifting. Without it, even the strongest athlete will struggle to move efficiently under the bar. We will focus on dialing in your form so that each lift starts to feel less of an effort. Through focused drills, cues, and feedback, we help you refine your positions, timing, and bar path. Whether it's your squat stance, the catch in the clean, or the lockout in the jerk, we'll break it down and build it up, step-by-step.
3. Mobility and Recovery
Olympic weightlifting demands a great deal of flexibility, stability, and mobility. Without these, even the strongest lifter will struggle to reach their full potential. We'll start each class with mobility work to help warm up and prepare your body for the session ahead.
We'll blend tried-and-true Olympic lifting drills with targeted accessory work that will help you get the reps you need to develop skill, power, and consistency, all while having fun in the process.
