Happy Friday All!
Yoga starting in November:
The other day I was lucky enough to run into a friend, Vanessa, who is back on the island and is interested in teaching Yoga. She teaches a Vinyasa style flow and is going to start offering classes out of our upstairs studio room! Classes will start in November and be on Tuesday and Thursday evenings at 6:30pm, and Saturday mornings at 11:30am. You can either do drop-ins for $20/class, or you can buy a 10-pack for $150* (10-packs expire after 3 months). Each class has 8 available spots and class reservations can be made on the gym app or website here: (vashonstrong.com/drop-in)
*note: Subject to change, but this is the loose structure
PS. Did you ever workout to DVDs? I used to do this one: Power Yoga with Brian Kest
Halloween O-Course/Photo-Booth
For Halloween, the roads close at 3:30pm and we figure most people will be out trick-or-treating in town so there will be no evening groups. Instead, we plan on hosting an obstacle course in the gym for aspiring kiddos who don't mind working a bit for their candy;) The O-course will be between 5-6:30pm and suitable for all ages, heck even the parents are welcome to do it! King Sized Candy Bars go to anyone who volunteers to do it as a 20minute AMRAP and beats 15 rounds...
In ADDITITION - Brian Lee will be on site for a select time to do halloween photo shoots for those who would like to remember this year's costumes for posterity.
FINALLY - We are planning to have a streetfront pull-up challenge with goodies and direction into the gym's Haunted O-Course;)
ACH Payments I am on a mission to decrease the gym's payments to credit card processing systems, the fees are outrageous and they add up! Over the next 2-3 months I'll be asking folks if they're willing to synch bank accounts to the system for billing, that way the gym doesn't donate 3% of it's GDP to the credit card companies every month. It takes a little more set-up work but all you need to know is your bank's routing number, your account number, and then verify info via two test deposits (very small amounts randomly determined by the bank). Thanks!
Happy Friday, Josh
